General Peter Cosgrove has resigned from the board of Qantas Airways Limited
(ASX:QAN), following his appointment as Governor General.
Qantas chairman Leigh Clifford congratulated General Cosgrove, who has served more than 8 years on the Qantas board.
Mr Clifford says General Cosgrove provided valuable leadership and bought a unique perspective to the board’s deliberations.
General Cosgrove will replace Quentin Bryce as Governor General in March.
Qantas generated a net profit of $6 million in fiscal 2013.
