NAOS Small Cap Opportunities Company Limited (ASX: NSC) has released an updated version of its 2026 Annual Report and Appendix 4E, confirming its financial results for the year ended 30 June 2026. The re-lodgement addresses an inadvertent omission of the auditor’s signature from the Independent Auditor’s Report in the previously submitted document; no other changes have been made to the report. NAOS Small Cap Opportunities Company Limited operates as a listed investment company, seeking to provide long-term concentrated exposure to Australian and New Zealand emerging companies, excluding resource companies. It aims to deliver a sustainable stream of dividends and outperform its benchmark.

For the financial year, NSC reported a loss from ordinary activities after tax attributable to shareholders of $6.597 million, representing a 27% reduction from the prior year’s loss of $9.071 million. Revenue from ordinary activities, which reflects investment income, stood at a negative $3.567 million, down 37%. Despite its investment portfolio returning -9.86% for the year, lagging the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Accumulation Index’s +8.11%, the company noted a total shareholder return of 33.14%, or 35.41% when including franking credits.

The company’s post-tax net tangible asset backing was 37 cents per share as at 30 June 2026, down from 47 cents in the previous year. Directors declared a total dividend of 5.00 cents per share for FY26, consistent with FY25, with a profit reserve of 7.9 cents per share maintained. These dividends were partly franked, with the final three quarterly payments at 50% franked. Additionally, NSC conducted an on-market share buy-back, acquiring and cancelling 906,890 shares for a total cost of $290,893. The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 12 November 2026.
