Cauldron Energy Limited (ASX: CXU) announced on 18 August 2026 the identification of new exploration targets at its Bennet Well deposit, part of the Yanrey Uranium Project, following the reprocessing of historic passive seismic data. Cauldron Energy, an ASX-listed uranium-focussed company, 100% owner of the Yanrey Uranium Project near Onslow, holds a significant landholding in a mineral-rich region known for multiple uranium deposits. The reprocessed data, combined with Cauldron’s 2025 and 2026 survey results, has provided a significantly enhanced definition of the Bennet Well palaeochannel and its surrounding areas.

Southern Geoscience’s reprocessing efforts revealed that the Bennet Well deposit forms a complex estuary system, showing similarities to the Manyingee South and Manyingee estuary systems. The new imaging highlights several second-order tributary arms flowing into the main Bennet Well palaeochannel, which hosts the Bennet Well Central Orebody. Furthermore, the reprocessed data extended the recently discovered Yanrey palaeochannel by three kilometres upstream to the south-southeast and confirmed its link to the Bennet Well estuary via the Bennet Well South palaeochannel.

The refined seismic imagery also indicates several small, untested potential extensions to the Bennet Well Deposit, including a newly identified Bennet Well West channel linking to the Yanrey palaeochannel. Cauldron’s CEO, Jonathan Fisher, commented that the reprocessing delivered additional high-priority targets for future drilling at Yanrey, providing a more holistic understanding of the subsurface geology. He stated these new targets would be integrated into the regional prioritisation matrix, with initial drilling at the Yanrey palaeochannel, a highest priority exploration target, expected to commence in the coming days. Further infill passive seismic surveying is planned for the Bennet Well Deposit to better define these new target areas.
