Haranga Resources Limited (ASX: HAR; FRA: 65E0) announced on 17 August 2026 a strategic land acquisition set to expand its footprint on California’s prolific Mother Lode gold belt. Haranga Resources is a gold exploration and development company with assets across California’s Mother Lode Gold Belt and Senegal’s Kéniéba Inlier. Its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Seduli Sutter Operations Corp, has agreed to acquire 100% of the surface and mineral rights for two contiguous properties totalling 60 acres (24.3 hectares). These properties are immediately adjacent to Haranga’s wholly-owned Lincoln Gold Project.
This acquisition, the first expansion of the Lincoln Gold Project footprint in approximately two decades, is expected to deliver multiple operational benefits. It provides improved access for future drilling, development, and potential mining around the Lincoln-Comet area, along with greater flexibility for planning surface infrastructure. Importantly, the purchase facilitates the efficient extension of the existing Stringbean Alley Decline north towards Medean, South Spring Hill, and Keystone, which have a combined historical production of around 1.0Moz Au. The move also unencumbers exploration of interpreted mineralisation at depth and significantly improves tailings transport and management options.
The total purchase price for the properties is USD$1,550,000, payable through an initial non-refundable deposit, a closing payment, and three post-closing payments with 8.5% annual interest. Haranga Chairman, Mr. Michael Davy, commented on the significance, stating Lincoln already represents a compelling gold opportunity with a JORC Mineral Resource of approximately 400,000 ounces, supported by extensive existing infrastructure and permits. He added the acquisition builds on the project’s multi-million ounce potential and clear pathway to development. Preparations for a drilling programme commencing at XC11 for late August remain underway.
