Nex Metals adds East Scotia Gold Project to WA joint venture
Nex Metals Explorations (ASX: NME) and the Wangkatja Tjungula Aboriginal Corporation have agreed to acquire the East Scotia Gold Project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields. The project comprises three granted exploration licences covering 133.41 square kilometres and is the second project secured through the joint venture. The project is being acquired for $100,000, funded by WTAC under the joint venture terms, plus a 2% net smelter royalty, with initial exploration expected to include geochemistry, geological work and first-pass drilling subject to approvals.
IPD Group delivers record FY26 revenue and earnings
IPD Group (ASX: IPG) has reported record FY26 results above the top end of its guidance range, with revenue rising 16.8% to $414.3 million and underlying EBITDA increasing 19.4% to $55.4 million. Underlying net profit climbed 17.9% to $30.9 million, while data centre revenue grew 27% to $71.5 million. The electrical solutions group declared total fully franked dividends of 14.7 cents per share for FY26, up 16.7%, while net debt fell to $16.4 million at June 30. IPD said it entered FY27 with positive momentum following the record result, supported by its diversified portfolio and exposure to sectors benefiting from long-term investment.
Equus Energy signs 10-year gas supply deal with Alcoa
Equus Energy (ASX: EQU) has signed a binding long-term Gas Sales Agreement with Alcoa, establishing the aluminium producer as the foundation domestic customer for the Equus Gas Project. Under the 10-year agreement, Equus will make around 50 terajoules of gas per day available to Alcoa following project start-up, equivalent to approximately 182 petajoules over the contract term. The agreement forms part of a broader funding arrangement providing Equus with access to up to US$30 million to advance the project through Pre-FEED and FEED towards a Final Investment Decision. Following completion of Pre-FEED, Equus has commenced project partnering and commercialisation activities as it progresses the development.
