Arrow Minerals (ASX: AMD) has announced significant progress at its Yarraloola Copper Project, located approximately 80 kilometres east of Onslow in Western Australia’s prospective West Pilbara region. Arrow Minerals is an Australian mineral exploration company dedicated to identifying and developing significant base metal and gold deposits. Following the project’s acquisition in June 2026 and second tenement grant in July 2026, the company initiated further field and technical works. These included completing infill gravity data surveys over the Ava, Fraser, and Mr Thomas targets, along with a field visit to inspect the historical Yarraloola Mine and other geophysical anomalies. The project is considered attractive due to its historical copper workings and recently identified gold in surface rock chips.

In collaboration with geoscience consultants, Arrow has identified three primary drill targets—Fraser, Ava, and the Yarraloola Copper Mine area—for drilling later this year. These targets are strongly supported by existing geophysical data and historical drilling. The company also plans supplementary detailed ground geophysics in the northern (Mr Thomas) and southern zones, which are prospective for both copper and gold. Following the grant of the second Yarraloola tenement, further ground geophysics, potentially including IP and/or MLEM surveys, are anticipated to define additional targets for drill testing across the project area.

A key component of the recent work involved inspecting historical diamond drill core at the Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA) Core Library. Arrow reviewed core from seven Yarraloola drill holes, validating historical geological logging and sampling. Notably, drill hole YD2 contained a significant intercept of 32.7 metres grading 0.7% copper, 0.3% lead, 0.4% zinc, and 16.3g/t silver from 54.0 metres. The core has undergone non-destructive HyLogger-4 spectral scanning, with data now available for analysis. Further non-destructive testing is intended to assess gold prospectivity. The 2026 work program includes data compilation, drill collar surveys, and a drilling campaign.
