WAM Capital Limited
(ASX:WAM) has generated a record first half operating profit of $51.9 million, up more than 100 per cent on the same period a year ago.
The company has declared a fully franked interim dividend of 6.5 cents per share, up over 8 per cent on the previous corresponding period.
The significant rise in profit reflects the increase in the investment portfolio size by 104 per cent.
Chairman Geoff Wilson says WAM’s investment portfolio has returned over 18 per cent per annum since it was established 15 years ago.
