Macquarie Atlas takes tolls

Company News

Macquarie Atlas Roads Limited (ASX:MQA) has increased toll revenue in the December quarter by just over 5 per cent.

The company is attributing the lift in revenue to higher traffic volumes and revised toll schedules set in place over the past 12 months.

Its weighted average traffic for the period was 2.2 per cent higher than in the previous corresponding period, mostly due to rising traffic volumes on its French motorway network APRR.

For the year to December 2013, weighted average toll revenue grew 3.5 per cent, while traffic lifted 0.9 per cent on year.

Macquarie Atlas delivered a net profit of $1.4 billion in the first half of fiscal 2013.
