Telstra, Optus sign with NBN Co

Telstra Corporation Limited (ASX:TLS) and Singapore Telecommunications Limited (ASX:SGT) owned Optus are among 27 companies who have signed NBN Co's new Wholesale Broadband Agreement.
 
NBN Co says the new WBA will be fully operational by March 1, after two years of engagement with industry.
 
Head of regulatory affairs and industry analysis, Caroline Lovell says the new WBA follows the ACCC’s acceptance of the NBN Co’s special access undertaking.
 
NBN Co says the new WBA includes a range of enhancements for access seekers, as well as greater clarity and consistency.
 
NBN Co says it will continue to engage with industry in 2014 as it implements the new WBA.
 
Telstra delivered a full-year net profit of $3.86 billion in fiscal 2013.
