Woodside Petroleum Limited
(ASX:WPL) has posted a record annual production.
In the year to December 31, Woodside produced 87 million barrels of oil equivalent, up 2.5 per cent on year.
The company sold 85.7 million barrels of oil equivalent during the same period, a 2.3 per cent lift compared to a year earlier.
However, revenue dropped slightly, totalling $5.7 billion, down 7.2 per cent on year.
Woodside also flagged its global exploration strategy is taking shape, entering Ireland and New Zealand.
Woodside Petroleum reported a net profit of $971.4 million in the first half of the 2013 financial year.
