St Barbara Limited
(ASX:SBM) has appointed Tim Netscher as an independent non-executive director of the company to take effect from February 17.
Mr Netscher was Managing Director of Gindalbie Metals until recently.
He is currently serving as a non-executive chairman of Deep Yellow Limited
(ASX:DYL) and non-executive director of Aquila Resources Limited
(ASX:AQA).
Mr Netscher is a chemical engineer and an experienced international mining executive.
The appointment comes after board members Phil Lockyer and Robert Rae announced their retirement intentions.
St Barbara booked a net loss of $191.8 million in fiscal 2013.
