Oil Search in sale talks

Oil Search Limited (ASX:OSH) has confirmed it is still in discussions about the sale of an interest in a Papua New Guinea petroleum licence, but says it has not yet made any decisions.
 
The company noted announcements by InterOil Corporation and Total SA about Total SA’s acquisition of a strategic interest in Petroleum Retention Licence 15 in PNG.
 
Oil Search says it is still in discussions with key stakeholders about the sale process.
 
The group says the nature of its potential participation in any transaction is uncertain and there is no guarantee that any agreement will be reached, adding it will keep shareholders informed.
 
Oil Search delivered a net profit of $122.3 million in the first half of fiscal 2013.
