Elders Limited
(ASX:ELD) chief executive officer Malcolm Jackman will step down from the company, effective immediately.
Elders says its board and Mr Jackman had previously had incomplete discussions regarding the chief executive officer's departure in early 2014.
Elders Chairman, Mark Allison, will chair an executive committee, comprising all other members of the company’s senior leadership team, pending completion of a formal executive search for a replacement.
The search is expected to be completed during the first quarter of calendar 2014 and will include both internal and external candidates.
Elders booked a net loss of $501.9 million in fiscal 2013.
