Paladin Chairman re-elected

Company News

Paladin Energy Limited (ASX:PDN) chairman Rick Crabb has easily won re-election to the board of the uranium mining company.

Mr Crabb's re-appointment was approved by 97 per cent of the shareholders that chose to vote, at the company's annual meeting of shareholders in Perth.

About 35 per cent of all Paladin shares participated in the voting, which saw all four motions successfully carried.

Mr Crabb's re-appointment came despite the Australian Shareholders Association calling for him to stand down in the weeks prior to the AGM.

The re-election means Mr Crabb can serve another three years at the helm of the company.

Paladin Energy posted a net loss of $511 million in fiscal 2013.
