QBE Insurance Group’s Limited
(ASX:QBE) chief financial officer Neil Drabsch has delayed his retirement by one year after his successor also decided to retire.
The insurer says Steven Burns, who was set to take over as CFO, has decided to retire from full-time executive duties.
Mr Burns will take a short sabbatical and rejoin QBE in January on a part-time basis as a non-executive director on the group's divisional boards in Australia, the Asia Pacific and for the Global Shared Services Centre.
Current CFO Neil Drabsch will stay in his role an extra 12 months until February 2015.
A global search for his successor has begun.
QBE generated a net profit of $520.7 million in the first half of fiscal 2013.
