(ASX:FXJ) will no longer print BRW Magazine from the end of November as it moves away from its traditional print-based mastheads to focus on its online business.
Group director of business media Sean Aylmer told Fairfax staff the final edition of BRW would be printed on November 28.
Fairfax will retain the BRW website and the BRW 200 Rich List as part of its business media unit as well as the Australian Financial Review masthead.
Mr Aymler says the BRW website will continue as a free website, in contrast to the company's move to impose paywalls on its metropolitan newspaper sites.
Fairfax booked a net loss of $971,000 in fiscal 2013.
