Qantas Airways Limited
(ASX:QAN) and the Western Australian government have inked a $7.7 million agreement to market the state at home and internationally.
The airline says it will target visitors from the United Kingdom, United States, Singapore and Australia.
In the three-year deal, Qantas will match the state government's investment dollar for dollar to promote the state in a bid to attract more visitors.
It follows similar deals between the airline and New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory, taking the total joint investment in tourism to $56 million over three years.
The partnership will include advertising special airfares and promoting major events.
Qantas generated a net profit of $6 million in fiscal 2013.
