Monadelphous Group Limited
(ASX:MND) has won a substantial contract with Rio Tinto’s Limited
(ASX:RIO) Rio Tinto Iron Ore for construction work at the miner's Cape Lambert project in Western Australia.
Monadelphous says the contract, valued at around $235 million, is for structural mechanical and piping works for the supply and installation of a screenhouse, two car dumpers and associated conveyor and transfer stations.
Construction work is scheduled to be completed by the fourth quarter of calendar 2014.
Monadelphous says the contract award will support solid sales revenue momentum into the new financial year.
Monadelphous generated a net profit of $156.3 million in fiscal 2013.
