CBA farewells Institutional maestro Saines

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) says its Group Executive for Institutional Banking and Markets Ian Saines will resign at the end of the year.
 
Mr Saines has held multiple senior executive positions in the institutional banking division since joining CBA in 2004. 
 
CBA paid tribute to Mr Saines for reforming the division by designing and implementing a total capital solutions strategy to support the bank's wholesale business.
 
The bank says a replacement will be announced in due course.
 
CBA generated a net profit of $7.7 billion in the 2013 financial year.
