David Jones' Limited
(ASX:DJS) sales dipped in fiscal 2013, as consumer sentiment and discounting continued to challenge.
In the year to June 30, sales revenue totalled $1.85 billion, down 1.2 per cent from last year.
Like-for-like sales revenue also fell to $1.83 billion in the year, from $1.87 billion in 2012.
CEO and managing director Paul Zahra said the retail environment remained challenging through the fourth quarter, especially given the inventory build-up from an unseasonally warm winter.
Fourth-quarter sales for the group totalled $449.8 million, down 1.3 per cent on the same period last year.
