Transfield books loss

Company News

Transfield Services Limited (ASX:TSE) has booked a steep full year net loss of $250 million, a big decline on the $84.8 million profit posted last year.

The group says the result was weighed by impairment charges of $295.5 million.

But in the year to June 30, revenue was $3.45 billion, a 10 per cent increase on the $3.14 billion recorded in the previous year.

Transfield says it expects increased opportunities in the second half of 2014 and in to 2015 as customers seek efficiencies available from outsourcing.

The group will not pay a final dividend.
