Blackmores profit down due to a decline in sales

Health supplement company Blackmores (ASX:BKL) reports their NPAT is $53 million, down 24 per cent on the prior year.

The full year result of $610 million in revenue, up 1 per cent on the prior year.

During the year, Blackmores achieved domestic sales growth in all markets except New Zealand, which was down 1 per cent on the prior year.

The company remains the number one vitamin and dietary supplement (VDS) brand in Australia with 15.9 per cent domestic market share.

Final dividend of 70 cents per share cents per shares, bringing total ordinary dividends for the year to 220 cents per share fully franked.

Shares in Blackmores (ASX:BKL) closed 4.21 per cent higher at $83.26 yesterday.
