Woolworths to talk Masters

Company News

Woolworths Limited (ASX:WOW) will hold an analyst conference call about its Masters division this morning, raising concerns about the home improvement group's financial position, according to media reports.

Chief executive Grant O'Brien will not be on the call but chief financial officer Tom Pocket will be present, the reports say.

Masters director Melinda Smith and Danks boss Mark Burrowes will also be on the call.

An announcement is expected on the purchase of 30 Danks trade stores and their merger with Masters in an attempt to boost the operations.

Woolworths generated a net profit of 1.16 billion in the first half of fiscal 2013.
