Iluka Resources Limited
(ASX:ILU) mineral sands production fell in the June quarter amid lower demand.
In the three months to June 30, Iluka produced 300.2 kt of mineral sands, a 23.7 per cent decline on the previous corresponding period.
In the year-to-date, Iluka produced 572 kt of mineral sands, a 29.1 per cent decline on year.
The company reiterated its aim to reduce total operating costs and draw down finished goods inventory.
Iluka says revenue from its mineral and sands operations dropped 42 per cent in the first half of 2013.
Iluka Resources generated a net profit of $363.2 million for its 2012 financial year.
