Telstra Corporation’s Limited
(ASX:TLS) is investigating a complaint against Telstra Superannuation Fund’s outgoing CEO Martin Crowe, who is alleged to have spent thousands on box tickets to a rugby match, according to media reports.
Media reports say the complaint pertains to the second Australia versus Britain and Irish Lions rugby test at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on June 29, and that 16 people were in the box that may have cost up to $30,000.
The letter does not allege illegal activity or rule-breaking, but questions whether the box was a good use of members' funds.
The unsigned letter was also sent to the Australian Prudential Authority and to the national president of the Community and Public Sector Union.
Telstra reported that it was looking into the matter, while the CPSU says it will refer the issue to the Telstra Super board for investigation.
