Infigen Energy
(ASX:IFN) has conditional approval from the New South Wales Department of Planning for a 33 turbine wind farm, according to media reports.
The Bodangora project, southeast of Dubbo, was deemed to be in the public interest provided it adhered to over 100 conditions.
The Department of Planning’s report is now with the Planning Assessment Commission, which is likely to convene a public meeting before making a final decision, according to the media reports.
The department has published the company's response to public submissions made on the development, on its website, which addresses community concerns about the windfarm, particularly impacts on health.
Infigen has also reportedly asked the state government for permission to build a windfarm at Flyer's Creek, near Carcoar.
Infigen delivered a net loss of $27.8 million in the first half of the current financial year.
