AJ Lucas wins $85.5M gas contract

Company News

Mining services company AJ Lucas Group Limited (ASX:AJL) has executed an $85.5 million contract with Queensland Gas Company for works on the Curtis LNG project.

Works include the installation of gas and water trunklines for the project and are scheduled to commence in late July.

The contract is a 50/50 joint venture between AJ Lucas and pipeline contractor Spiecapag Australia.

CEO Allan Campbell says the contract recognises AJ's experience and capability in the delivery of pipelines in Central Queensland.

He welcomed the collaboration, with the two companies previously working together on other projects.

AJ Lucas reported a $42.5 million loss in the first half of fiscal 2013.
