Quickflix inks deal with HBO

Quickflix Limited (ASX:QFX) says it has inked an agreement with HBO to offer its TV series in Australia.
 
The online movie and television rental subscription company says the agreement with HBO allows customers to purchase for downloading current seasons of select series on an episode or full season basis, whether they are Quickflix subscribers or not.
 
Customers will be able to buy, download and stream on a number of devices including smart TVs, game consoles, mobiles and laptops.
 
Quickflix Chairman and CEO Stephen Langsford says the agreement will provide customers with a variety of successful programming in response to strong demand.
 
Quickflix reported a net loss of $3.4 million for the first half of the 2013 financial year.
