Galaxy confirms project viability

Company News

Galaxy Resources Limited (ASX:GXY) has confirmed the potential for a low-cost and long life operation at its Sal de Vida lithium and potash project in Argentina.

The lithium miner says Sal de Vida has the potential to generate revenue in the region of $204 million.

Galaxy Managing Director Iggy Tan says Sal de Vida has excellent promise as a future low cost brine mine and lithium carbonate and potash processing facility.

He says it vindicates the miner’s merger last year with Lithium One and says he expects Sal de Vida will become its flagship asset.

Galaxy Resources reported a net loss of $127.9 million for its 2012 financial year.
