Australia’s biggest telecommunications company Telstra Corporation Limited
(ASX:TLS) has awarded national broadband network contractor Service Stream Limited
(ASX:SSM) three contracts worth up to $135 million.
Service Stream has scored a new two-year fibre to the premises for commercial estates contract worth around $30 million.
The company has also been awarded a three-year renewal of the asset relocation and commercial works contract worth up to $55 million.
Telstra has also given Service Stream a two-year extension of the site acquisition, environment and design mobile infrastructure contract worth about $50 million.
Service Stream Executive Director Brett Gallagher says the contracts show Telstra’s confidence Service Stream has the ability to deliver essential network services.
Telstra generated a net profit of $1.6 billion in the first half of the 2013 financial year.
