Strata-X Energy Limited
(ASX:SXA) has executed a contract for the drilling of the first horizontal well at its Vail Oil Project in the USA.
Strata-X owns a 100 per cent interest in the Vail Oil Project, comprising 46,300 acres.
The oil and gas explorer has executed a contract with excavation company Les Wilson Incorporated for the drilling of the horizontal appraisal well in the project.
Strata-A will utilise Les Wilson’s rig to commence drilling in mid-May this year.
The company has purchased over 22 miles of 2D seismic data covering the area around the horizontal test well, which will assist in the geo-steering of the well and further its geologic review of the area.
