Woodside expects production at the lower end of earlier guidance after Pluto LNG delay

Oil and gas company Woodside (ASX:WPL) has announced its 2019 production is expected to be at the lower end of earlier guidance (88 – 94 MMboe) after delaying the restart of it Pluto LNG gas facility following maintenance.

Woodside says the mixed refrigerant compressor at the facility experienced vibration on restart.

The restart for production now targeted for the end of June 2019.

Woodside has made arrangements to meet obligations to its customers, including the purchase of third party cargoes.

Shares in Woodside (ASX:WPL) closed 1.7 per cent higher at $34.64 on Friday.
