Sedgman lands $12M contract extension

Sedgman Limited (ASX:SDM) has extended an operating contract at Xstrata PLC’s McArthur River lead and zinc mine in the Northern Territory.

The extended contract is expected to generate total revenue of approximately $12 million for the resources services company.

CEO Nick Jukes says the contract recognises Sedgman’s expertise in base metals operations and builds on a proven track record of delivering efficient operations at McArthur River.

Sedgman has been operating the sites crushing and screening facility for over 11 years now.

Sedgman generated a net profit of $12.3 million for the first half of the current financial year.
