Aurizon Holdings Ltd
(ASX:AZJ) will increase its coal haulage volume to mining giant Xstrata by a whopping 20 per cent.
In what’s being viewed as a major contract win, the local miner will begin hauling 14.6 million tonnes in Queensland, from next year.
Aurizon will ship coal from Xstrata's Rolleston mine, cross country by rail, to Gladstone and Wiggins Island ports from December.
Aurizon turned in a $176 million net profit to December 31
