Mining giant BHP Billton ( ASX:BHP) has come out swinging against allegations of corruption.
Media reports surfaced earlier this week, revealing an ongoing investigation into BHP’s major sponsorship deal of the Beijing Olympics.
The world’s largest miner supplied the materials for gold, silver and bronze medals used at the 2008 games.
BHP says it has nothing to fear from the bribery investigation, stating all of its activities complied with applicable laws.
BHP last reported a net profit of $4.14 billion dollars to December 31
st.
