Queensland based drug company Alchemia Ltd
(ASX:ACL) has won a US patent for a cancer fighting drug it has developed.
The company says several other countries including Australia and China have secured the patent for the colorectal Cancer treating drug.
Clinical trials are currently being conducted on more than 400 patients, in 76 different sites around the world.
To December 31
st, Alchemia recorded a $5.9 million net loss.
