Sirius Resources surges 38% on discovery

Company News

Shares in Sirius Resources NL (ASX:SIR) soared more than 38 per cent at the end of last week after revealing another discovery from its nickel exploration project.

The West Australian focussed mineral explorer has reported the first drill hole into Bollinger has returned 125 metres of mineralisation.

The discovery is positioned east of the Nova nickel discovery which gave Sirius’s share price a significant boost last year.

The company advises four drill rigs are currently on site at the Bollinger discovery to follow up the intersection and nearby targets.

Managing Director Mark Bennett says although the size of the new zone has not yet been determined he is encouraged as it is the thickest intersection yet encountered and in an unexplored area on the edge of a large gravity anomaly.

Shares in Sirius Resources soared 38.35 per cent on Friday, ending the week at $2.85.
