Supermarket giant Woolworths ( ASX:WOW) is reportedly preparing to purchase a forty one hectare winery in the Barossa Valley, a supplier to Cellarmasters liquor, a Woolworths oned company.
Woolworths is Australia’s largest liquor retailer. It’s currently being investigated by the ACCC for possible abuses of its market dominance, namely discriminating against small suppliers in favour of its own private label brands.
Woolworths releases first half results later today.
