Atlas Iron Limited
(ASX:AGO) has increased its Pilbara iron ore reserves by 21 per cent to 499 mega tonnes in the past seven months.
The miner has upgraded reserve estimates a three separate sites, Mt Dove by 21 per cent, McPhee Creek by 98 per cent and Abydos by 25 per cent.
CEO Ken Brinsden says Atlas is delivering on its strategy of generating strong production increases while laying foundations for substantial long term growth.
Mr Brinsden said Atlas is on track to an annualised rate of 10 mega tonnes by the end of June, after hitting a record rate of 7 mega tonnes in the December quarter.
Atlas Iron recorded a net loss of $114.6 million for the 2012 financial year.
