Engineering and construction services provider Forge Group Limited (ASX:FGE) has won a $125 million contract for the South Hedland Generation Project in Western Australia.
The engineering, procurement and construction contract and the operation & maintenance contract have been awarded from Horizon Power.
The plant is designed to provide power to the North-West Interconnected System during periods of peak energy consumption.
Site works are slated for completion by the end of this year and an operation and maintenance contract will start early 2014.
Forge Group posted a net profit of $49.3 million in the 2012 financial year.
