Shipbuilder Miclyn Express Offshore Limited’s
(ASX:MIO) Thai joint venture, Uniwise Offshore, has ordered two 90 tonne Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessels for deployment with its core customers in Thailand.
The vessels will be constructed over an 18 month period on what Miclyn describes as ‘attractive’ payment terms.
Miclyn also says it has recently secured a number of significant contract wins throughout South East Asia and the Middle East.
The contracts predominantly comprise material transportation and towing duties, and carry an aggregate value of $US35 million.
Miclyn Express Offshore generated a $64.7 million net profit for the 2012 financial year.
