Linc jumps on production milestone

Linc Energy Limited (ASX:LNC) jumped yesterday after hitting an oil production milestone of 6,000 barrels per day. 
 
The energy company has tripped oil production is less than 12 months through continuing an active drilling and recompletion program. 
 
CEO Peter Bond says Linc has entered the new year with a better understanding and working knowledge of its oil fields and their potential.
 
As a result Mr Bond believes Linc should be able to continue significant oil growth from the Gulf Coast region while consolidating prior oil production gains. 
 
Shares in Linc Energy jumped almost 11 per cent yesterday, finishing at a 10 month high of $1.42. 
 
Linc Energy swung from a profit to a net loss of $61.9 million in the 2012 financial year.
