Crown Limited
(ASX:CWN) is reportedly in talks with Tourism Australia and tourism bodies in Victoria and Western Australia to embark on a marketing campaign in China.
According to News Corp reports, the campaign will be worth $400 thousand and specifically target wealthy Chinese tourists.
The potential campaign will spruik Crown’s two flagship Australian properties in Perth and Melbourne, targeting six core Chinese markets.
The mooted venture follows Crown majority owner James Packer’s ongoing calls for Australia to boost its share of the tourism pie fuelled by the cashed up Chinese middle class.
Crown reported a net profit of $513.3 million for the 2012 financial year.
