iiNet set to receive $8M refund

Company News

iiNet Limited (ASX:IIN) will receive approximately $8 million in back dated refunds for excess Internal Interconnection Cable (IIC) charges following the resolution of an access dispute with Telstra Corporation Limited (Public, ASX:TLS).

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) reached the determination relating to the excess charges.

Telstra has until December 20 to challenge the ACCC decision process with the federal court via an Administrative Decisions Judicial Review (ADJR).

If the situation remains unchanged, the refund is due to iiNet by January 3.

iiNet generated a net profit of $37.1 million in the 2012 financial year.
