Leighton Holdings Limited
(ASX:LEI) engineering subsidiary Thiess has been granted two new contracts worth about $220 million.
The contracts are issued by the BHP Billiton Limited
(ASX:BHP) Mitsubishi Alliance and is for construction works on the Caval Ridge Mine Project in the Bowen Basin in central Queensland.
The news follows a $180 million contract that was awarded earlier this year, to provide earthworks at the site.
Leighton Holdings posted a net profit of $106 million in the first half of the 2012 financial year.
