JB Hi-Fi Limited
(ASX:JBH) has announced the launch of its “HOME” concept stores that will offer a range of whitegoods, cooking and small appliances.
The electrical retailer’s chief believes the JB Hi-Fi brand can be further leveraged to capture about $4 billion of the home appliances market.
The “HOME” stores will continue to carry a full range of existing categories but with the addition of home appliances.
The company will conduct a low risk and measured trial in Queensland.
JB Hi-Fi has recently been faced with difficult retail conditions but has managed to grow its branded stores by 3.8 per cent and expects to open 11 new JB Hi-Fi stores by Christmas.
In the 2012 financial year JB Hi-Fi generated a net profit of $104.6 million.
