Virgin announces change of directors

Virgin Australia (ASX:VAH) has today announced a change of directors.

Mr Hou Wei has been appointed as Non-Executive Director and the nominated representative of the HNA Group on the Board of the Virgin Australia Group.

Meantime, Mr Du Ming has also been appointed as Alternate Director for Mr Hou.

These appointments follow the resignations of Mr Zhang Kui, the former nominated representative for the HNA Group, and Mr Zhang’s Alternate Director, Mr Luo Jiaqui, which are both effective today.

The new appointments come on the back of a Virgin trading update earlier this month which flagged underlying earnings to be at least $100 million down on financial year 18 due to the uncertainty of revenue trading conditions in the domestic market and annual fuel and foreign exchange headwinds.

Shares in Virgin Australia (ASX:VAH) are trading 1.39 per cent lower at 18c
