Genesis signs 20-year wind farm deal with Tilt Renewables

Genesis (ASX:GNE) and Tilt Renewables (ASX:TLT) have today finanalised a 20-year electricity offtake agreement for the Waverley Wind Farm in South Taranaki.

Genesis CEO Marc England says this deal sits within its Future-gen framework to help decarbonise New Zealand’s energy sector while continuing to supply reliable, affordable electricity.

The Waverley Wind Farm will be the first project brought to fruition under this partnership.

Building will start on the wind farm in the next 6 to 9 months with 31 turbines.

Shares in Genesis (ASX:GNE) opened flat at $2.98.
