(ASX:VRL) again, we were here last year and we’ve got some new news. We have a number of prospects, all in Australia, but today I want to talk about the Thaduna/Green Dragon on which a maiden JORC resource was announced today.
This project sits in the Gascoyne region 175 kilometres northeast of Meekatharra in Western Australia, where we have a substantial holding in the area. Since April last year we’ve drilled 38,000 metres of RC and diamond, we had two targets and started drilling straight underneath them. The pits are shallow and they were mined predominantly just for oxide material, and the bulk of it was sold into the fertilizer industry.
Unexpectedly, we’ve found a mineralised system about 1.5 kilometres long with the highest grade section underneath the northern end of the pit. And we’ve been drilling along that for 1.5 kilometres to about 150 metres and in the central zone; we’re now currently drilling down to approximately 260 metres. It’s a classic hypothermal system.
