CIMIC Group's CPB contractors wins huge NZ sports facility contract

CIMIC Group (ASX:CIM) company CPB Contractors has won the contract in New Zealand for the Christchurch Metro Sports Facility, the largest aquatic and indoor recreation and community venue in the country.

It has been selected by Otakaro and its hoped the project will generate revenue of approximately NZ$221million to CPB Contractors.

The three-building facility will cater to local and international events, with construction including a 10-lane competition pool, indoor netball and basketball courts and a show court.

In Australia CPB Contractors has been selected by the NSW Government to deliver The Northern Road upgrade between Eaton Road and Littlefields Road, an important component of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan. Revenue to CPB Contractors will be approximately $119 million.

Shares in CIMIC Group (ASX:CIM) trading 1.66 per cent higher at $49.06.
